sempre e costantemente aggiornato: tale figura professionale deve
Milano e Parigi, a Londra, Berlino, Amsterdam e New York. Altro
come fare a diventare fashion buyer?
figura senior.

First of all it is good to specify for those who do not know that we are in
the field of fashion and therefore in the sector where we usually find
designers, models, photographers and stylists.
The fashion buyer is the person who takes care of following the fashion
shows and decides which items to buy for the shop or boutique he works in. This
decision is made based on personal forecasts on which items could be successful
and which are not, so it is a difficult task of interpreting future trends in
fashion
But what are the requirements for a good fashion buyer? Among the
requirements include the desire to travel and the desire to innovate and be
constantly updated: this professional figure must know how the market works in
every detail and must be willing to attend all the major fashion fairs, from
Milan and Paris , in London, Berlin, Amsterdam and New York. Another
requirement that has become almost indispensable is the possession of a degree,
preferably in economics and marketing, or a post-graduate course of an economic
nature. Given the delicacy of the role and the continuous movement from one
country to another to follow the key events of the fashion world it becomes
important to have a good knowledge of the English language in order to
communicate internationally.
But how do you become a fashion buyer? As far as the specific case of Italy
is concerned, there are currently not many study courses aimed at training such
a professional figure: the most accredited in the sector are the masters in
fashion management or fashion buying offered by Polimoda in Florence, the IED
and the Marangoni Institute of Milan.
Although the cost of these courses may seem high, we can say that the
fashion industry has a high demand for fashion buyers and above all offers
highly respectable salaries ranging from 1,500 euros for a junior to 2500-3000
euros for a senior figure.
